Martin Wall
Managing Director
Martin has 54 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, designing, building, and operating networks in the UK and Europe, with 38 years at senior manager/board level.
He was instrumental in the development of cable TV services as well as the first deployment of FTTN and optical fibre services in the UK.
He has spent the last 8 years in Australia as Managing Director and Co-Founder of Lightsource Services.
Martin was a keen sportsman, having played hockey for England. He now enjoys watching The WASPs Hockey Club play in South Perth.
Andy Carroll
Engineering Manager
Andy has 31 years Telecommunication project delivery experience in the Rail, Power and Construction industries in Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom. He has been at Lightsource for the past 7 years helping to deliver major network builds.
Since leaving the ‘tools’ Andy likes to build in his spare time, whether it be restoring his old boat or some project his wife has him doing at home, he is at his happiest when he sees something constructed at the end of the day.
Antony Milburn (Milly)
Civils and Hauling Manager
Antony (Milly) has worked in the telecoms industry for the past 32 years, having owned his own subcontracting company in the UK. He has worked for Lightsource here in Australia for 7 years and is responsible for civils and hauling works. He has worked across all aspects of nbn including New Developments, MIMA, BSOD and N2P.
In his spare time, Milly enjoys camping with his family and motocross riding with his 11-year-old son.
Kate Hicks
Resources & Project Manager
Kate has been with Lightsource for nearly six years looking after HR as well as managing the MDU, ND, BDOD, HVMDU and IPS programmes. Previous to this, she was a corporate event manager for professional services’ firms in the UK.
She has a BSc in Chemistry and Cert IV in HR.
Kate is a keen triathlete and is on the committee of Fremantle Triathlon Club. She also does a lot of work as an animal foster carer for Perth Rescue Angels.
Jules Hicks
HSE Advisor
Jules arrived in Australia in 2014 and has for worked at Lightsource for 6 years. During that time, she has been an office administrator and accounts clerk, as well as being out in the field as a DPU installer.
She originally trained and qualified as a teacher in the UK, but since being in Australia has achieved her Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and is now the company HSE Adviser.
Jules enjoys learning about wines and passed her Level 2 WSET Award in Wines earlier this year.
Rachel Jones
Contracts Administration Assistant
Rachel has nine years administration experience and has been with Lightsource for two years as Contract Administration Assistant. Previous to this she worked in the mining industry.
Her two passions are animals; completing two certificates in animal studies, and gymnastics; starting training as a five-year-old and still coaching with the same club today.
